Joey and I were lucky enough to call him a best friend but he was more like family.

His laugh would light up the room.
He is missed every single day by all of us. We love you Matt and will celebrate you everyday but especially today. Happy 32nd birthday!

Summer is coming....

Which means sun, fun, soccer, whidbey, and bbq's. One more thing we are adding to the list is seeing VAMPIRE WEEKEND!! I am so excited. They have jumped to the top of the list as one of my favorite bands. I have been talking about wanting to see them for a long time and I said if they ever come to Seattle we have to go. So August 29th at Marymoor Park you can find us sitting on a blanket enjoying the sounds of these guys.

PS: I might have told Joey this concert was sold out so I could surprise him tonight with these tickets. He never reads the blog so he wont see this before I get home :)

Weekend Update

Joey and I had a great weekend. The weather in Seattle was perfect. We have been waiting for it to get nice here and it finally hit this weekend. Friday night we had dinner at PF Changs then just layed low. Saturday we woke up and took the ferry over to Whidbey Island for the day. Joey's Great Aunt and Uncle were celebrating there 50th wedding Anniversary on the island so we were headed over to see them and decided to make a day of it. It was so beautiful driving around. That night we had dinner with the Partridge's at our favorite Mexican restaurant a block from our house.
Sunday was Mother's Day. The weather again was amazing. We headed up to my brother's house for the day. I thought it was going to be a small gathering but it turned into a mini-party. I of course love a party so I am not going to complain :) Our good friend Rachel and her family were over celebrating the day with us. It was so fun to hang out with everyone and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Hawaii

We had so much fun last week in Hawaii. First up we had my cousin Angela's wedding. It was a small intimate wedding on the beach followed by a reception at a restaurant near the Sheraton. We had a blast.
After that we just relaxed. The boys golfed and us ladies shopped. Here are some pics from our trip. We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo in Kaanapali with my parents, brother and his family.

Well nothing to exciting has been happening at our household these past few weeks. Joey has been working a lot and I have been relaxing around the house. We get pretty busy starting this weekend until May. I love being busy but love the downtime of January each year.

On another note yesterday started Lent. I was raised Catholic but I am not a practicing Catholic girl these days. One thing I do follow each year is Lent. I give up 2 things each year and this year I decided to give up the following

This is going to be hard but worth it in the end. Joey thinks its great that I do Lent each year but gets frustrated because I give up things that make it hard to have meals together. We are cheese people so giving that up will be very hard. 40 days! I can do it.

Hawaii

So our present this year for Christmas from my parents was a trip to Hawaii in April!!! I cant wait. We are going to see my cousin get married and then spend a week in Maui relaxing. I have so much fun hanging with my family so I am really looking forward to spending time with them. We will have my mom, dad, brother, Erica, Jordan, Carly, Joe and I in a 3 bedroom condo that my mom rented. Thanks Mom & Dad. xoxo

Boston

On Day 5,6, & 7 of our trip we were in Boston staying at the Mullins. Check our Stass's Blog for more pics from our New Years.
Day 5
We arrived in Boston and Stass picked us up and we headed to her house to see the newly remodeled kitchen. Check it out here. We then headed to lunch in Waltham at Uno's Pizza and then did a little grocery shopping and back to the Mullins to hang out for the night. We took the dogs for a little hike and came home and played games and just caught up for the rest of the night.
Day 6
The Reynolds arrived this morning from DC. Joey and I were so excited that they made the trip up to spend a few days with us in Boston. That morning when they arrived Stacie and Kevin hosted a brunch at there house so we could visit with Kevin's family. It was so great to see them since we had not been back since the Mullin wedding 2 years ago. During brunch it started to snow which got us all in the mood to get outside and play. We loaded up the 6 of us in Kevin's car and headed into Boston. We had initially planned to go ice skating but the rink was closed down for the day in preparation for New Years that night. So we walked around and had some good laughs at people falling (JOEY!) then headed to Cheers for a little lunch and a beer. Got back to the Mullins to celebrate the NY around 5 and planned to nap/relax for an hour then start the festivities. It was one of the best new years I have ever had. The 6 of us stayed in played games and danced all night. We had a brief visit from Officer Lord but I think we scared him off :)
Day 7
This amazing trip had to end at some point. We didn't want it to end we even called the airlines to try to get bumped to stay and extra day or 2. Thanks you Kev & Stass for having us for a few days it was the best way I could think of to ring in the new year! Love you guys.

New York Part 2

Day 3
We decided at dinner the night before that the only way we are going to see everything we want to see was to do some sort of tour. We really didn't want to look like tourist but we sucked it up and bought a pass on the City Sights NY Bus Tour. We bought a 48 hour pass that allowed us to jump off and on the bus as many times as we wanted throughout the city with in that time frame. It was great we had a tour guide pointing everything out to us and telling us stories and when we wanted to stop at a place we would get off and we would just go to a designated spot and get back on later. We would have never gotten to see as much as we did if we had not done this. They had 2 tours the downtown tour and uptown tour. We decided on this day to do downtown. We started at the Waldorf and made our way around. We got off in Soho and walked around there. We went through Tribeca, Little Italy, China Town, and then back into Soho for some lunch. We then walked around more stopping in at a little cafe for a drink then back out into the cold. This day was not like the previous day it dropped about 20 degrees and was freezing. We then decided to just walk downtown and see the World Trade Center. I cant explain the emotions that came over us when we walked up. It was something to see it in person. From there we headed down to Battery Park and saw the Statue of Liberty and walked around. We got back on our bus and it took us down along the water and we could see Brooklyn and then we decided to get back off in Gramercy Park. We got a slice of pizza and had some coffee and just walked. We ended up back in Mid-town and it was getting time for Monday Night Football and we had explored so much that we wanted to just sit have a pint and relax for a few hours. We went to a little restaurant called the Press Box which was on the same block as Jane's apartment. Great food and great bartender. We stayed there for a couple hours and chatted with the people and watched football. From there we decided lets walk a little more in a different direction and then we stopped in at another place for a beer and met some really cool people one of which turned out to be a NYC Police Officer. His friends were so nice and took Joey and I in and we hung out with them for a while. Then we went to another bar with them. Joey and I couldn't say it enough everyone we met was nothing but nice to us.
Day 4
Today it got even colder. So cold we had to go buy me a new coat. Ever place had the best sales so we did a little shopping then decided to get back on the bus for the uptown tour. We caught the bus and went through more of midtown then headed to the upper west side. The bus went right along Central Park which was so cool. We got off at one of the museums and the line was so long and it was so cold that we decided to just head down and check out the upper west side. We went to a cute little place for lunch called Firehouse Tavern. At this point we were both so cold that it was hard to imagine walking back outside. We got some coffee and bundled up and walked back up to central park. We got back on the bus and toured through more of the upper west side and into Harlem, down into the upper east side. If you look back at the tour site above you can see more specifically places we saw and went through. We got off on the upper east side/central park area and walked back to Jane's from there. We really wanted to walk as much as we could just to take it all in. On our last night in NY we took Jane out to dinner at Cellar 58. Jane knew the owners and everyone in the restaurant. They treated us so well it was such an amazing dinner. When we first arrived I asked Jane what her favorite restaurant in NY was and she couldn't answer and after a few days in NY I see why. Every place is so good and depending what you are in the mood for there are so many amazing places for you to eat at.
Day 5

Joey and I woke up early packed our bags said our goodbyes and headed to the train station. We arrived at Penn Station to take our train to Boston for the remainder of our trip. The train ride was one of the most beautiful things ever. I was so glad we chose to do that instead of fly. Next up Boston.

New York Part 1

There is no way I can get our entire trip done in one post so I am going to split it up in NY Part 1 & 2 then Boston. These are just some of the highlights along the way.
Day 1 (Saturday)
We arrived at the Newark airport around 6:15 PM. Almost an hour late. The entire time on the plane Joe and I were getting so antsy to just arrive. Once we arrived got our bags we headed down to take the train into Manhattan then we got a cab to Jane's apartment. Jane ,our gracious host, was waiting with open arms. We walked into her amazing home and chatted and just took in the city. She lives right in midtown in an amazing place with a great view of the city. At this point we were starving and Joey and I just wanted to get our and explore the city. We walked up to Smith & Wollensky and had dinner. I am not a big burger eater but this place had the BEST burger I have ever had. Per the recommendation of our server I got it and if I lived in NY I would be about 600 pounds from eating one every day. So good! We met the most amazing people at dinner that lived in the area and we just chatted away with them.
From there Jane went back home and Joey and explored. We went to this cute little pup down the street and had a few beers then we decided to go on a journey. Not knowing what way was what we just picked a direction and walked. On our walk we went by Rockefeller Center, the tree, ice skating rink, radio city music hall and many many more places. We met a few cops and maybe I took some pics with them :).
We then made our way home after what seemed like a 2 hour walk and went to bed excited to rise for day 2.
Day 2 (Sunday)
It was about 48 on this day in NY. So nice it felt great to get out and walk. Jane took us around the city today and showed us some great places. We had already walked up and seen a few the night before but it was fun to walk back and see them in the daylight. After checking out the spots we went to last night we headed over to Central Park. We went to the Plaza and walked around then over to Columbus Square and had lunch. After that we walked down the Hell's Kitchen area and then to Times Square. Now seeing this area was cool but way to many people. I was glad to check it out for a minute then leave. We had tickets to Rock of Ages on Broadway from our dear friend Stacie at 2:00. This show was amazing! I have not seen any other shows to compare this one to but it was awesome. Such high energy! You have to see this show if you ever get a chance. After the show we did some more exploring and found a great little bar The Celtic so we could watch a little football. After a while we headed back to meet up with Jane to have some dinner. We headed to one of her favorite restaurants Avra . Joey and I are not well versed in Greek cuisine so Jane ordered for us and everything was so good. I cant wait to go back and eat at this place. The wine and food combos were perfect.

This past weekend I headed down to LA thanks to my great friends Lynds, Coffee, Michelle, Spry, Carrie, Stass, Marge and Lindsey. Thank you girls for giving me the best gift ever! I was so happy I was able to make it down to LA/Solvang to help celebrate Lindsey's 30th Birthday. It was such a great weekend with 20 of the greatest gals ever. Wine tours, dance parties in the middle of the street, and talks that made me laugh so hard my stomach hurt. I want to go back right now and stay there forever :) Love you girls! Thanks for loving and sharing and caring! LOL

Pre-Birthday Celebration

I cant believe this week I am turning 30! This past Friday Joey decided he wanted to celebrate my 30th with just the two of us since this coming weekend we are jammed packed with family dinners and a birthday party at my parents with family and friends! Joey really treated me with a little shopping downtown, then a stay at the wonderful Edgewater Inn followed by an amazing dinner at El Gaucho. I loved every moment of our time together this weekend. We get so busy with life that it gets hard sometimes to take a moment just for us. Joey and I tend to go big on our birthdays for each other and we skip out on most other holidays. This was a great start to my birthday week (yep we celebrate for a week at the Partridge House).

This year marked our 3rd Annual Friends Thanksgiving. Each year we get together and make a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at one of our houses. These past couple weeks it has been tough to watch the hawks play. With all the injuries we just have not been the same old Hawks that Joey and I have grown to love. Although this past Sunday they showed up ready to play! Not only was Jacksonville picked to win this game they were saying on ESPN that they had it in the bag.
WRONG! Wow, I think we showed them by winning 41-0.

Joey and I have had season tickets now going on 4 years and each year it just gets better. GO HAWKS!

WSU vs. Oregon

After the Madness

Wow what a weekend! I am still recovering from it. We had the best time at Whidbey again this year. As you can see the from the pics below the theme was 80's/White Trash. I would say most ventured into the WT look since it is so easy to accomplish. We had the Olympics going all day Saturday and tried to continue Sunday but the rain wouldn't allow us to. We set up a draft so that each guy picked a girls name out of a hat and that was your partner for the weekend. The teams were:

3) Joey & Lynne (yes he drew me)
4) Fitz & Jeremy
5) Derek & Erin
6) Travis & Marge
We attempted to do our Olympics by playing beersbie, horse shoes, and ladder ball but not all games got finished so to decide who the winners/losers were we had to play beer pong on the deck.

I am going to apologize ahead of time for the chaos caused this coming weekend while our crew was on your island. As you know from previous years we mean no harm we just like to listen to music loud, play 80's olympics, bbq, volleyball (JV vs. Varsity), sit around the campfire and laugh. I know you are used to quiet nights with Bill & Duke around the campfire and we promise things will get back to normal ASAP but we just need this one weekend to show the Island what WSU is made of.

It's been super busy

Past couple weeks have been super busy with soccer, yakima, and life. First we were in Bellingham for a soccer tournament which we made it to the finals in. I was proud of the team for making it to the finals in the heat. I was not playing since I got hurt in the first game :( We lost unfortunatly but overall they played great.
Then we had Yakima. Each year we head over for the annual hot rod show they have with my family. It turns into a mini family reuion with everyone. This might be the only time also that my dad allows me to drive his precious car.
In between weekends I was able to have some dinner with Rauh, Fitz, and Kelly :) Good talks with these 3 always make me feel better.

It was a mid Febuary morning when I heard that Coldplay was coming to the Gorge this summer. I then proceded to call Joey 10,000 times until he answered and then screamed like a little girl that they were coming and we had to go. Didnt have to really convince him that we were going since he is a fan as well. So now 5 month later the weekend has come and gone and all I can say is WOW! I mean WOW I cant even describe the way there music made me feel. It was the #2 best concerts ever (James Taylor with my dad Summer of 2005 is #1). Here is Joey and I at the concert. A few weeks ago we went to Lake Chelan with my family for a week. It was so much fun to spend quality time with my family. I am lucky enough to get to see my family at least 1x a week but don't get to spend an entire week with them to often were the only thing on our agenda is FUN! During our week we had so much fun just playing cards, drinking beers/wine, BBQ'ing, swimming with J & Car (or C as she is now wanting to be called), wine tours, golf, and just laying by the pool listening to music chatting. I love my family and am so happy we got to spend the week hanging out with them. xoxo

So happy Summer is finally here! Once June starts we are slammed until August. We dont have one weekend between now and then that isnt already planned, I actually love it! I have not uploaded my pics yet so I am using Marge and Fitz's pics for the time being. This past weekend was such a fun weekend. I don't think I have enough time in the day to tell you every story that took place. Just a quick recap though for now will have to suffice. Friday morning we took off and headed east to Chelan with a little over half the group. We arrived around 12 to the house and hit the pool. We were out there until the sun turned off (margie). Friday night was followed by a great dinner then games. Might I say if you ever get a chance to play games pick Jeff to be on your team he is AMAZING :) After some games the Coug Van showed up with more friends. We had a total of 13 people there Friday night. Saturday we all woke up pretty early, made breakfast, went on a walk then headed back to our spots at the pool. The boys had made up this game called beer-sbie which consisted of forks, frisbie, and 2 child kick boards. That game kept everyone occupied for hours all weekend. Beers-bie then turned into flip cup which turned into lots of time in the pool for the losing team. Saturday night we had a great dinner again then some more friends showed up. Coffey and Steve happen to be driving around camping so they swung by for some fun. Sunday was the only day that we actually had anything planned the entire weekend. The girls went off on a 6 hour wine tour while the boys went golfing. After that we met back at the house fore more pool time and dinner again. Sunday night we decided to get creative and take a door off the hinges so that we could play beer pong. Many games later we retreated to bed to get up for the long ride home on Monday. I had such a fun weekend with friends. I cant wait to do this again next year with this group plus a few more that were missing :)

Joey and I went and saw this movie yesterday. I highly recommend it to everyone. I never followed the series or other movies so I thought I would be lost but it wasnt that bad. It was really funny which surprised me also. I would wait a week or so to go see it seeing as yesterday the theater was packed which is something I hate.

J & Car's Softball Games

This past weekend Joey and I had the pleasure of going to watch our nieces play a little softball. This was Carly's first softball game and we were all excited to watch her play but a few minutes before the game she hit her eye on the bat and that was the end of softball for her. She was content just hanging out with us for the rest of the day watching J play. Jordan on the other hand was ready to go. She was so excited to play even though it was raining a little bit. She was the only girl on the team and that is not why she stood out, she was a little rock star. Hit every time she was up to bat and did a great job on the field.
After the games we went to my favorite place for some Pizza.......Alfy's! If you have never had Alfy's you are missing out. It was a great Saturday with the Bartlow's.

Joey & Lynne's Day of Fun!

For Joey's Birthday this year I decided to take him into the city for the day to be tourist. We had a full day and night planned. First off we started out by taking the bus into the city. I take the bus everyday and I wanted Joey to experience the bus with me. So we headed into the city to our hotel. We stayed at Hotel Monaco on 4th. We had never stayed there before and both really liked it. Not only was the style of the hotel very cool the customer service was great. After taking a pit stop at the hotel we were off on our adventure.
We first headed down to Pike's Place. Before going through the market though we needed to eat so we went to Market Bagel for the best ever turkey bagel sandy. Then we walked through the market and all through bell town. I think it was about 2 blocks out of the market Joey and I were in love with the idea of moving into the city. I had been trying to convince him for a while that we move and I told him by the end of this little trip I would have him convincing me. We walked up and down blocks just enjoying the city and all it had to offer. Then we ventured over to the Space Needle for some more fun. Sad to say we did not go up to the top. We stood in line to get tickets and I took a glance up and thought I was going to throw up. Joey was so great, he knows how I am with heights so he got me out of there. We will try again another day :) We then took the monorail over to Westlake and did some shopping. Joey got lots of goodies! We then headed back to our hotel to freshen up and head out for the night. We had a little fun in the hotel taking tons of pics. They had these amazing robes that we just couldn't’t get enough of. After playing around we headed down to the best Happy Hour ever. We had $2 pizzas and $3 beers. We were in heaven. After filling up we headed towards the stadium for the soccer game. At the game we got to sit in the club level and Joey had a surprise waiting for him on the reader board. Thanks to Marge who put a Happy Birthday Joey note up there for him. It was such a great day/night and I look forward to many more city adventures with Joey

Thursday was a great day.
1) Work was easy today and went by so fast
2) Went grocery shopping (I love having a house full of food)
3) Came home to Joe making dinner
4) Made Joey's lunch (something I like to do each night for him)
5) Made home made chocolate chip cookies :)
6) Went to bed at 9:00 while cuddling with Marley and Flash

It was a nice day. Nothing to special but it was overall a very relaxing day.

Friday already sucks
1) Had to listen to some chick on the bus talk on her phone. I don't mind when people need to take a call it happens but I don't need to hear about why Susie and Johnny are fighting and OMG guess what happened last night at the bar. SHUT UP. Sorry I like my quiet time in the morning.
2) Paid my taxes. Yes PAID! Ugh I could write for days why this pisses me off but its our fault. One of us had been filing the wrong # and we didn't catch it until it was to late. Any who that made us have to pay. It wasn't a lot but it was more than enough to make me mad. I already pay the dang government each month I didn't want to pay them again.

One good thing that did happen today is that I sent some cookies to work with Joey for his crew and he said they loved them. That made me feel good.

So tonight I am hoping that Joe and I can get out on a date. We talked about going to dinner and a movie. I want to see Adventureland but Joe doesn't want to go on opening night so we will see what we do. Joey has to work tomorrow so I plan on cleaning the house and relaxing. Sunday is going to be a busy day for us both. I am getting my hair done then I have 2 soccer games. I am doing something new to my hair you will all have to wait and see :) Joey is golfing then soccer that night.

Weekend

Well of course we had another busy weekend. Friday night I went out to dinner with Marge, Kelly, Fitz, and Rauh at Purple in Kirkland. It was my first time eating there and I loved it. I not only loved the wine and food but the time I got to spend with 4 of my best friends. These girls can make me laugh over anything (Legg's). I am very lucky to have such a great group of girlfriends that I get to see on a regular basis.
Joey went out with his brother to watch the Kansas game. Then Saturday Joey and I got some breakfast and just enjoyed the day together. It was so nice to be at home on a Saturday curled up on the couch watching TV with no agenda. We don't get that to often. Saturday night we went to Kelly and Jeff's and had some dinner and played with the kids. We played a game called LRC. It was new to Joey and I but I cleaned house! I won 3 out of the 4 games we played. I don't want to bore you with all the rules but everyone starts with $3 and eventually 1 person wins all the money. I was happy when we left the Gies house that night.
Sunday was a beautiful day! I was so happy the sun was out and that my women's outdoor session was starting that day. It was perfect soccer weather. I played at 2:45 then we had a coed indoor game at 6. Then Joe took me out for Thai food and we were home by 8. We had some movies from netflix that we had been meaning to watch so we showered and got into bed by 8:30 and turned on Milk. WOW! What an amazing movie. The acting the story. I was in tears by the end. I highly recommend this movie. I didnt know much about Harvey Milk before watching this movie and it was so inspirational. I cant say enough good things about this movie and I also now see why Sean Penn won the Academy Award for best actor.

So every day I have the radio on in my office on 107.7 and I hear so many contest that happen but never think to call in. Well on Wednesday they were giving away their last pair of tickets to the season opener for the Sounders. Joey and I are huge fans of soccer so I thought what the heck I will call in. So I called in and WON! I got 2 scarves and 2 tickets to the game. They won the game and it was such a fun experience. The crowd was standing the entire time and really getting into the game. I hope this is a good sign for professional soccer in Seattle.

Joey and I had the best time in Hawaii. It could not have come at a better time for us. The weather here was getting to much to handle so to be able to get away and lay on the beach was just what we needed. While we were in Hawaii we had the pleasure of attending our good friends Erin & Steve's wedding. It was such a beautiful wedding and Erin was stunning. Weekend Recap!

Friday night we went out to celebrate Jeff's 30th Bday! We had a great night at the Wild Rover in Kirkland. The night ended with a little adventure with the Kalamakis's on our 2 mile walk. It sucked at the time but I can laugh about it now. Saturday night Joey and I stayed home and watched movies and had a nice dinner. It was the perfect way to spend Valentines Day. Sunday we cleaned our place and went through our clothes and threw out a ton of stuff. It feels so good to do that. Monday we just relaxed which was so nice. It is very rare that we get a day off together so it was nice to wake up on a Monday and have no plans.
Also on Sunday I went to the movies with Rauh and Marge. We went to He's Just Not That Into You. I highly recommend this movie. I was laughing so hard. It was a great chick flick and could be a good date movie. I think Joey would have liked it but getting him there was not going to happen.
Again I have pics from the weekend but dont have my cord with me. On a good note though we finally got our new laptop set up. The geek squad came out last night and set everything up so I can now blog from home and upload pics. So tonight I will upload pics that I have from the past month.
Also we leave in less than one week for Hawaii! I am so excited. This pic below was from our honeymoon and I cant wait to be back there with Joey again.

Summer Plans

Summer is a few months away but Joey and I get pretty busy with soccer tournaments and vacations. Well now we have one more thing we will be doing. I just got us tickets to see Coldplay at the Gorge! I cant wait to see these guys. I have been wanting to see them for so long but they never come to the NW. The Gorge is one of the best places to see a concert and then you add in Coldplay and it is going to be the highlight of our summer.

That was the theme of Coffey's Bachelorette party this weekend. If you can’t tell she loves Stevie Nicks. We all had the same t-shirts on in honor of Stevie/Coffey. It was so great to see so many friends from college that I don’t get to see on a regular basis. During the day we had her bridal shower followed by the bach party that night at the Boxcar in Seattle. It was a karaoke bar so of course us 54 girls had to sing Dixie Chicks. It was so fun to see everyone and it just gets me more and more excited for Hawaii!

I had the best weekend ever in LA! I couldn’t have asked for a better time. Friday night we went out to Pink Taco for dinner with Nat, Ethan, Carrie, Lyndsy, Lindsey, Brooke and Jamie. From dinner we headed to a few bars. It was the best night full of laughs and non stop dancing. Saturday we had a slow start but eventually got going :) We walked around Westwood then hit up Rodeo. Had to have lunch at the Reg Bev Wil! From there we did lots of walking around and just people watching. Saturday night Tim took us girls to an amazing dinner. I was so happy to be able to see Tara and Dett. Sunday We headed down to Manhattan Beach and rode bikes with Ethan and hung out at the beach. Yes the beach and it was 80! I know it’s January and Washington has seen the worst weather ever and I was on a beach. I was sad to leave LA LA as Ethan calls it but I had the best time ever. Thanks Nat for hosting me all weekend I can’t wait to come back.

I am so excited to head down to LA this weekend. I get to see great friends all weekend and stay with Natalie. Friday night I get to see Lyndsy, Lindsey, Carrie, Dett, and Brooke for dinner. I cant wait to play with them. Nat and I will then shop shop shop all day Saturday. She said the weather was supposed to be high 70's! I love the fresh start that 2009 brings! I have a few new year resolutions that I am looking forward to accomplishing this year.
1) Continue to work out 5 days a week. I have been working out since November, 5 days a week and I want to keep it going.
2) Learn how to cook & cook more for Joey
3) Take more pictures
4) Be better at blogging. I typically do 1 post a week and I want to get to 2-3 per week. This will start Monday :)
These are just a few things I will start to work on. In 6 months I will revisit this post and see how I am doing.

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas. Joey and I had a blast. We got to spend it with both our families and I couldn’t have asked for a better time. We got the Wii and Wii fit which we are very excited about. Joey and I are very competitive with each other so I am thinking lots of nights will be spent trying to kick each others butts. Joey and I didn’t do Christmas for each other again this year. We tend to not really celebrate big on Christmas with each other and do our anniversary really big. I don’t mind it one bit. This year though we did get a big gift for each other......HAWAII!!! We decided that we are going to head back to the place we took our honeymoon for a week in February. We have some good friends who are getting married over there at the time we will be there so we will get to visit with lots of friends as well. Here is a pic of us last time we were there 2 1/2 years ago.

I have been a bad blogger this past week. So here is an update on what we have been doing for the past week. Pics to come.
Last weekend we had out annual Friends Xmas party at Kelly & Jeff's house. Everyone brings a gift that is under $25 and we play a game. Joey is the dice roller and we play 2 15 minute rounds. When it’s your turn if you get a 7 or 11 you can exchange your gift with anyone. There were some great gifts this year. I think the most popular was the Hannah Montana clock :)
It was a great night with all the friends. This was also the night that we started to get snow. It went away by Sunday but then it came back on Wednesday and hasnt stopped since. I was able to work a little bit but got 2 snow days. Poor Joe on the other hand was working 24 hour shifts. He is going to be working that shift for most of this week. 24 on then time to come home sleep and get back out there. He is working his butt off.
This past weekend we had my work Xmas party on Friday night down in Bellevue. It was a lot of fun to hang with everyone outside the office.
Saturday night we had a soccer tournament. We decided to do this soccer tournament on Wednesday night after margaritas with our good friends Preston and Matt. Well it seemed to work out for the best because we won the tourney!!!
Sunday we stayed home. We planned on doing the Seahawks game but with the snow coming down so hard we knew it would take forever to get there and back so we stayed home and watched the Hawks kick some butt.

I had such an amazing birthday week. Yes week not just a day :) I got spoiled by my husband, family, & friends. It all started Tuesday with dinner and drinks at Kristi's. Marge, Lisa, Kelly, Fitz, Rauh, and Kristi were so great! They had great food and wine ready for me when I arrived. Rauh made a great cake to. Then Thursday (my actual bday) I had the pleasure of having dinner with my family and Joey's family. Our families get along so well so its nice to be able to get together as a big group. Friday night Joey, Fitz, Trav & I went to dinner at the Crab Pot then went to Jazz Alley. It was such a fun night. I am going to get the pics from Fitz to share soon. Saturday we went shopping for my new camera. I love her and am so happy to have a camera back. So expect lots of photo's to be coming your way! Thanks again to everyone for making my birthday so special. I love you all!
